The Papuan contingent to the coronation of Elizabeth II comprised officers and other ranks of the Constabulary.

This Officer wears the parade uniform of the RPNGC. The blue cap has a drill cover over the crown. The peak and chinstrap are brown leather, and the Force badge is attached to the front of the band, shown below.

The older style high collared jacket is drill with brass buttons throughout. Rank stars are attached to the blue shoulder straps with the enamel title also shown below.

Over the jacket he carries a Sam Browne belt with cross strap.

Plain drill trousers are worn with shoes.

On parade he carries brown leather gloves.

Below is the general duty dress of an Officer. The old Wolesley sun helmet was still worn.

He wears a bush or safari shirt with the same blue shoulder straps.

The Sam Browne belt is also worn in this dress.

Trousers or shorts with long stockings could be worn.
