The headdress of the Constabulary is a green Kilmarnock cap with red pompom and brown leather chinstrap. No badge is worn on the front.
This junior NCO wears a drill jacket with fall collar. His rank chevron is the Army pattern of light khaki on darker backing.
Around the waist is a Constabulary belt.
The trousers have a thin red welt down the outer seams, and are worn with ankle boots or shoes.
Officers of the Constabulary were not issued a uniform prior to WWII, after which they adopted British Colonial Police items.
