This Policeman wears a distinctly American uniform. The cap has an eight pointed crown as opposed to round, which follows the style of various American police forces. In the hotter months a drill cover is used on the blue crown. Note the silver lace chinstrap and black lace band.

The shirt and trousers appear to be a mid blue, with a darker blue necktie closing the collar.

His whistle hangs on a stout chain from the shoulder button.

Around the waist is carried a simple black leather belt.

The white gloves may signify a ceremonial or traffic duty, most likely the latter.
