The Labour Corps formed with native members had a number of European officers. These dressed in the standard uniform of the time for officers. Instead of the Fiji Defence Force’s slouch hat, a British peaked cap of serge material is worn. The service jacket and breeches are drill and in a sandy colour. Under the jacket is worn a light khaki shirt and necktie.

His equipment is the almost universal officer Sam Browne belt and cross strap.

The breeches are constrained in serge puttees, worn over ankle boots.

A serge uniform was also worn by the officers, which included using 1903 pattern cuff rank badges.

The Labour Corps was formed with 101 native members and 6 white officers. It left Fiji in 1917 and assisted in the unloading of ships in France (Calais & Marseilles) and Italy (Taranto).
