Although horses remained the mainstay of transport in the Imperial Army, the practicality of the motor vehicle was becoming more obvious. In both the Austrian and Hungarian regions volunteer organisations were formed from vehicle owners to provide mechanical transport services.

This member of the Hungarian corps wears a brownish khaki uniform, very different to that worn by any other Imperial unit. His peaked cap follows the German version, with brown leather peak and strap. The jacket follows the pattern worn by the Army but has a fall collar with status star attached. The cuffs are embellished with black cloth and blue piping.

His belt is Army issue. His breeches are tucked into Army-issue gaiters and ankle boots.

The Austrian corps wore a light blue grey uniform, different to the pike-grey of the Army, with blue facing cloth. It was in a more traditional 'Austrian' cut.
