he NSW Police band was established in 1895 and continues to provide music to state event, as well as the occasional tour.

The first uniform was a relatively elaborate one with white chest braid and piping throughout. The uniform of the Depression period was somewhat plain in comparison but retained some white embellishments.

His headdress is a standard issue peaked cap with the Force badge attached to the front of the band.

His jacket has white piping on the collar base, down the front opening, around the skirts and on the cuffs. The trousers were decorated with thick double white stripes down the outer seams.
