Like the rest of the Armed Forces, the Navy adopted the American style of uniform and used American equipment.

This Rating wears a polished silver US M1 helmet.

The blue blouse has shirt cuffs with three lines of white braid thereon. At the neck opening is worn a lighter blue collar with, again, three lines of braid. Between the collar and the blouse is worn a black neckerchief, tied at the front.

Under the blouse is worn a white t-shirt.

Around the waist is carried a whitened American webbing belt, with dark metal fittings.

His blue trousers are tucked into whitened canvas gaiters.

He is armed with a 0.30in Garand automatic rifle, with bayonet.
