The PSP was formed in 1905 and continues to provide law enforcement in the community under the same name.

The early uniform of the force was a simple affair similar to that worn by British police. The helmet is British in style with blue cloth covering, The force badge was attached to the front.

The jacket is, again, a simple item with five front buttons, chest pockets and a plain back. Flared breeches are worn with leggings and ankle boots.

His equipment is a style of belts and holster favoured by American law enforcement officers of the time. The revolver, probably a Smith & Wesson, is carried in an open holster with restraining strap. Above the weapon are two rows of rounds held in loops, his reserve of ammunition.
